                                                                第一课时

【课题】                            Comic strip and welcome to the unit

    

【教学目标】:通过对话掌握自我介绍的方式,并能够运用恰当的方式来彼此问候

                   掌握词汇:good,  morning,  afternoon,  evening,  night

    

【教学重点】: 自我介绍

                           互相问候

   

【教学难点】:恰当的问候语

     

【教学要求】: 能够运用恰当的方式用英语互相问候,能够流利的用简单英语介绍自己及他人。         

【教学过程】: Step1. Warming up

                       1. Use a clock to show the time.

               

                      Ask Ss what they should say when they meet their friends:

               

                      --- It’s 7:00 in the morning. What will you say when you see your friend?

                      --- Good morning

 

                     2. Do more practice: 8:00, 14:25, 18:30, 22:00  

 

               

                      Step2 Greetings

              

                       1. Review greetings the students have learned before.

              

                        Let the Ss greet with each other.

              

                     2. The teacher may use multimedia to present these sentences:

                       ---Good morning.

                         I’m Miss/Mr …

                          What’s your name?

                          ---Good morning, Miss/Mr …

                       I’m …/My name is …

              

                   3. Do more practice.

               Permit the Ss to go round the classroom to greet anyone in the classroom.

              

               4.Ask some Ss to show their dialogues to the class.

             

                   Step3 Introduction

             

 1. Let the Ss introduce themselves like:

              Hello! I’m …

              I’m from Wuhu.

              I’m 12 years old.

              I’m tall and slim.

              I have short hair.

              Etc.

             

 2.Let the Ss introduce any classmate like:

              This is...

              She is 12 years old.

              She is tall.

              She wears red shirt.

              She is polite and helpful.

              Etc.

             

 3. Introduce six new friends in the books to the Ss.

             

             4. If time permits, ask several Ss to introduce whoever he/ she likes.

 

              Step4 Comic strip

            

 1. Use multi-media to show the comic strips.

             Introduce the two characters --- Eddie and Hobo.

             Explain the new points: look after, master.

            

2. Listen to the tape and answer those questions:

             What’s the e-dog’s name?    

             Who is his master?

              

3. Books open. Read the dialogue.

             

4. Ask several pairs of the Ss to come to the front to act out the dialogue.

            

Step5 Homework

              Revise how to greet and introduce.

              掌握词汇:year,  flat,  clever,  Maths,  basketball,  club,  quite,  slim, music,  hard,  short,  wear,  glasses,  enjoy,  polite,  helpful, come from,   be born

  【教学重点】:学会自我介绍

  【教学难点】:人称代词的用法

   【教学要求】 对课文作整体理解

             学生能掌握课文,通过课文中同学的个人资料,学会更详细地介绍自己。

   【教学过程】

              Step1.Revision

              1. Revise how to greet.

              2. Revise the dialogue between Hobo and Eddie

                 Step2 Presentation

              1. Show the Ss some photos of Harry Potter, Xiao Xin, Jay Chou,

                    Yao Ming, David Beckham, Li     Yuchun.

                Ask the Ss to make a card to introduce one of these five persons:

                    This is XXX.

                     He/She is (tall).

                      He/She is XX years old.

                      He/She likes singing.

                      He/She is polite and helpful . Etc.

               2. Get them to share their cards with their partners.

               3. Ask some Ss to read the information on the cards.

               Step3 Reading

               1. Show the pictures of six “friends”.

                Ask : What’s his/her name?

               2. Play the tape.

                Ask the Ss to read the passage individually.

               3. New language points:

               ---Now please tell me the new words you don’t know.

                 Write the unknown words on the Bb, ask the Ss to teach each other the new words.  

                      Explain  them the new words if they still don’t know.

                 Read the new words after the teacher.

                 5. Finish Part B on Page9.

                  Check the answer to B1.

                  For B2, point out the mistakes and correct them.

                Step4 Consolidation

                 Listen to the tape carefully.

                  Read the passages loudly

                 Retell the profiles of the six friends. 

                 Try to remember the names of the six friends in Sunshine Secondary School

[教学过程]

Step1 Revision

          1. Revise how to introduce a person.

        

 2. Show the Ss the photos of the six new friends. Ask the Ss some questions about them, like

           What’s his/her name?

           How old is he/she?

           Where was he/she born?

           Is he/she…?

           Does he/she like/love/enjoy…?

           Etc.

 

Step2 Practice

           

1. Read the profiles of Reading A.

           

2. According to the form of C1, get the Ss to introduce the five friends.

           

3. Finish C1.

           ---Now I’m sure you know our new friends better. Our first friend is Millie. She is now making notes about her new classmates. Please help her complete the notes on Page10.

           4. Check the answer to C1.

 

Step3 Expansion

            1. Ask the Ss to work in groups and help each other to introduce themselves.

            2. Get some volunteers to the front and introduce themselves to the class.

            3. Finish C2 on page 10.

 

Step4 Homework

           Make a personal profile.

                        swimming pool,  football court,  badminton court

【教学重点】:运动方面的词汇的运用

【教学难点】:描绘不同种类的运动

[教学要求]

         能够在日常交际中对于运动和运动场地的词会正确运用。

[教学过程]

Step1 Revision

          1. Revise the words of sports.

          ---Do you remember Amy? What does Amy like doing?

           ---She likes swimming.

          2. Encourage the Ss to say more words about sports they’ve learnt, like:

          running,  swimming,  football,  basketball,  etc.

Step2 Presentation

          1. Show some pictures of sports, like volleyball, badminton, tennis, table tennis, skating, surfing, diving, water ballet.

           Teach the new words.

          2. Ask and answer.

           ○A Do you like playing football / volleyball / badminton?

Ask the Ss to pay attention that there is NO “the” between play and the ball games.

           ○B ---What is he / she good at?  

         ---He / She is good at swimming / playing football.        

          3. Finish Vocabulary Part A on Page 11

Step3 Sports and equipment

         1. Discuss

          ---Where can you play these games?

          2. Teach these four places.

football             volleyball               badminton          swimming

football field      volleyball court      badminton court     swimming pool

          3. Revise the word “playground”.

          Tell them the differences among ground, field and court.

          4. Act and guess

           ---What sport is he/she doing?   

            ---Where do you  (do this sport)?

           5. Finish Part B on Page11

Step4 Homework

           List the words of sports and say out where we play these games.

【课题】 Grammar I

[教学目标] 通过对本课的学习,运用对比、归纳、总结的方式,掌握一般现在时的用法, 并在日常生活中运用这一语法项目。

掌握词汇:when,  fish,  after,  walk,  every,  profile,  always,  hope,  will,  well,  again,  grandparent,  best,  world,  weekend,  run,  hour,  then,  dinner,  sometimes, be good at。

【教学重点】:一般现在时的运用。

【教学难点】:一般现在时里的第三人称单数的用法。

[教学要求]  熟练掌握一般现在时的用法,能够自如地进行句型转换

            掌握人称与动词be的搭配,了解三单数的形式。

[教学过程]  Step1 Presentation

           1. Show the Ss a few pictures and some sentences:

            I am happy. My hair is long.

            Cats eat fish. Simon plays football after school.

           2. Tell the Ss that we use the simple present tense to talk about

            things that are true now.

            things that are always true.

            Things that we do regularly(hobbies, jobs, school work).

           3. Give Ss more examples in order to help them understand the simple present tense.

Step2 Simple present tense of the verb “to be”

           1. We know the verb “to be” has three forms: am/is/are

            When do we use ‘am’?

            When do we use ‘is’?

            When do we use ‘are’?

           2. Go through the tables with the Ss.

             Pay attention to the usage of ‘to be’ in positive, negative and interrogative sentences in the simple present tense.

           3. Ask the Ss to read the sentences on their own.

             Point out the contractions.

           4. Ask the Ss to complete the sentences in Part A on Page13.

           5. In pairs, the Ss compare and check the answers.

             Check the answers as a class activity.

Step3 Simple present tense of the verb “to do”

               1. Give the verb ‘like’ as a model.

                Go through the tables with the Ss.

                Learn how to make positive and negative sentences using the verb ‘to do’ in the simple present tense.

                 Learn how to ask and answer questions using the verb ‘to do’ in the simple present tense.

               2. The table on Page14, show verb form changes for the simple present tense in the third person singular.

                 Go through the table with the Ss.

                 Check their understanding by asking them to change other verbs.

                3.Ask pairs of students to read out the conversation in Part D.

Step4 Homework

                   Do Part E on Page15 in exercise books.

[教学目标]

          进一步学习一般现在时。

 

【教学重点】对其含义的理解与构成。

2. Tell a story

            Make sure the Ss grasp the simple present tense of the verb ‘to be’ and ‘to do’.

           1. Show some pictures and let the Ss make sentences.

            Use the verb ‘to be’ and ‘to do’

           

2. Ask the Ss to write a few things about themselves using the sentences in Part B on Page14 as models.

 

Step3 Discussion

            Ask the Ss to discuss some topics freely.

           2. Play the tape.

             Ask and answer the questions:

           3. Open the books. Read the dialogue.

 

Step3 Presentation

           1. Watch a piece of a football video, tick out some important players.

           2. Let the Ss say something about football players.

 

Step4 Discussion

           1. Ask Ss to talk about their favourite football players freely.

           2. Teacher talks about a player and write some new words and phrases on the Bb.

            1. Tell them if they don’t know how to say something in English,
