                          第六课时

【课题】:      Integrated Skills

                              

【教学目标】:1.能从所听的内容中获取相关信息,为以后写作准备材料

              2.能从关于不同购物习惯的对话中找到具体信息。

              3.在一般购物情境下提高学生口头表达的流利性。

              4.了解用一般疑问句表达礼貌的请求。

              5.需掌握:Words: poor.pair.large.skirt.area.stationery.collect .country.donate. 

                                     raise  size fit    cheap  jeans grey

                        Phrases:  a pair of shoes(trousers, glasses, boots)

                                         try on .pocket money.football boots.of course.too large/small.writing paper. 

                                               poor areas.raise money for

                     Sentences: What size are your feet?I'm a size eight.

                                   Could I try them on, please?They fit very well

                                   That's too expensive.

                                   We would also like to raise some money for them.

                                   I'd like to buy a pair of football boots.

                                   Do you have a cheaper pair?

【教学过程】:Step 1 Warm up    

                             1. How much pocket money do you get every week ?

 

                              2  What things do you buy with your pocket money ?

 

                              3  Do you often buy them ?

              Step 2 Presentation

                              1  Open your books at page 80 and look at the pictures in Part A.

                              2  Listen to the tape and complete the blanks .

 

                              2         Check the answers ,then ask some questions to

 

                                 check whether they get correct information.

 

                                 eg: What does Daniel love doing? What does she want to buy?

              Step 3 Listening

                              1  Please look at the pictures on B1 and listen to

                                       

                                 the tape, try to catch : How often does Simon buy

 

                                 these things? How about the children in poor area?

 

                              2  Answer some questions .

 

                              1) Are these children poor ?

 

                              2) Do they have enough money to buy

 

                                 stationery / computer games / sports shoes?

 

                              3) How often do they buy clothes ?

 

                              3  Play the tape and ask Ss to listen carefully .

 

                              4  Complete the table .

 

                              5  Ask Ss to check answers in pairs , then check answers as a class .

 

                              6 Say sentences with these adverbs of frequency.eg: Simon always buys sports

 

                                 shoes, because he likes playing football, but the poor children never buy them…

              Step 4 Reading and writing

                              1  Read the ad on page 80, part B2.

 

                              2  Talk about some questions .

 

                              1)   Do they have enough stationery to use ?

 

                              2)  What do they need ?

 

                              3  Explain some language points .

 

                              4  Complete the passage .

 

                              5  Check the answers .

                              1 Read the dialogue of C1 .

                                3  Ask the students to replace the underlined words

 

                              with their own information

                                eg: buy a pair of tennis shoes, a pair of trousers, a T-shirt.

                              4 Talk about the items in the table below of C2 .

                              5 let them practise in groups of three .

                              6 Ask some groups to act their dialogues .

                 Step 7 Extensive activity

 

                              1  Introduce Hope Project .

                              2  lead the Ss to have some talks about how to

                              help those people in poor area.

                              1) Would you like to donate the poor ?

                              2) What are you going to do if you would like to help them ?

                              3) Do you have any good ideas to help those poor people?

                Step 8 Homework

                              1  Listen to the tape .

                              2  Write a letter to your principal about how to

                              help the poor children .

                              3  Preview : Speak up and try to know how to buy things on the internet

                              2. Let the students talk about going shopping .

                              1. Open books at page 83 . Read and learn

                              Notes about the new shopping mall.

                              2. Explain the context and instructions

                              carefully and make sure that students become

                              enthusiastic.

               Step 3  Reading the notes

                              1. Study the words and the notes by

                              themselves .

                              2. Answer some questions and check for

                              understanding of vocabulary.

                              1) What is the notes about?

                              2) Where is the new shopping mall?

                              3) How many floors are there in the mall?

                              4 How many clothes shops are there in the

                              mall?

                              5) Which floor is the restaurant on?

                              6) How is the computer games center?

                              1.  Explain the instructions to the class  carefully.

                              1. Ask the students to look at the picture

                               questions to help them: Where is it? How many floors are there?

                              Do your parents like going there? Why?

                              3. Let the students to describe to each other  in pairs.

                         2.复习掌握语法现在进行时构成和用法。

 【教学难点】:学会在适当的语境中运用现在进行时态。

 【教学过程】:Step 1. Warm up

                                1.       Free talk.,go over the present continuous

                                       tense, make a dialogue with Ss.

                                 T :  What are you / they doing ?

                              What is he / she doing ?

                              Ss :  I am ------

                              She / He / is ------

                              We / You / They / are ------.

                              2. show some action pictures. Ask the Ss to make

                              dialogues.  S1: Is the girl doing shopping?          

                                 S2:  No, she isn’t.

                                 S1: Is the girl playing football?            

                              S2:  No,she isn't   .S1: What’s she doing? Look at the picture.   

                              S2:  She is swimming.

                             3.ask a student to come to the front, do some

                              actions, let the others guess: What’s he /she doing?

              Step 2. Revise new words and phrases,sentences.

                                 Show the picture , ask the Ss to describe

                          Star Shopping Mall on the picture, using “There be"

                     Eg: There is a bus stop and a taxi rank in front

                              of the shopping mall.

              Step 3. Writing

 

                              1.Ask students to look at the pictures in Part A,

                              telling the Ss that Simon is shopping in a

 

                              shopping mall, let us see what he is doing, and

                              what is happening, look at the pictures, talk

 

                              about them one by one. eg: Which shop is Simon in?

                               Are there many people in it?  What are they

 

                              carrying ?   Where’s the woman?   What’s she doing?

                              2.Let students fill in the blanks on their own.

 

                              3.Check the answer.

 

                              4.Read together .

              Step 4. The word puzzle

                              1.Ask the students to look for the other seven

                              words on their own .

 

                                You may have a contest to see who can find it   quickly.

 

                              2.Write down the eight words and read .

 

                              3.let the Ss make sentences with the 8 words.  eg:

                              4. Try to write a short story with the 8 words all

                              in it.
